• Biosphere is the work and creation of one musician, Geir Jenssen, one of the early pioneers of Ambient Techno, a sound combining the fullness and some of the beat from techno with the ethereal, intangible elements of ambient music, originally devised by Brian Eno.
• Patashnik, Biosphere’s second album, was originally released in 1993 in Norway. It became a huge success, partially due to the use of the track ‘Novelty Waves’ in a Levi's advert.
• ‘Patashnik’ further developed the trademark style of the first album, this time leaving more room for the ambient soundscapes.
• This is one of 3 reissued Biosphere albums on Norwegian Beat Service records; the other two titles being the first album, ‘Microgravity’ and the soundtrack to a Norwegian film ‘Insomnia’. All other Biosphere titles are available through the label Touch.
