• Originally a transatlantic hit in 1958 for The Harry Simeone Chorale (Simeone was a US conductor and arranger who worked on various Bing Crosby movies).

• “Little Drummer Boy” was originally a Czech song known as "The Carol Of The Drum." Katherine Davis translated it to English in 1941.

• In the UK, it was a hit in 1959 for The Beverly Sisters as well as Michael Flanders. A version by the Pipes And Drums of The Royal Scots Guards was also a hit in 1972. There is a vast variety of recorded versions including The Temptations, Bob Seger and Tori Amos.
