• The folk group Ulman (Unlimited Music And Noise) were founded in 1994 by the brothers John and Andreas Uhlmann, releasing their debut album "Acoustic Power" in 1996. Apart from a four-track EP in ’98, they have not since released any recorded work.

• Now they are back with a new album, “Vibes” : folk-grooves, world-beat & ethno-jazz. John plays accordion and viola; Andreas : flute and trombone; cousin Till Uhlmann : hurdy-gurdy and violin. Uli Stornowski plays his own highly individual arrangement of drums & percussion.

• Except for a traditional opening polka, all compositions are by band members, with an eclectic mix of acoustic jazz, rock, ethno-beat and German and Scandinavian folk music - there’s even a strong sense of Zepplin’s ‘Kashmir’ on one track.
