► From his early days as a member of the legendary Flatlanders with fellow Lubbock musicians Joe Ely and Jimmy Dale Gilmour, Butch Hancock has built a reputation as one of the Lone Star State's best singer/songwriters. The Austin Chronicle called him "a national treasure of the Republic of Texas"
► On this 1985 album he was joined by singer Marce Lacouture and a full backing band including trumpets
► Butch's Dylan-esque intonation and Marce's pure voice are a great match on this set of duets -- all Hancock originals except for Lucinda Williams' "Sharp Cutting Wings"
