Founder of the French School of Harp, Marin’s methods and techniques wereused by generations of players and composers. His students included Boschaand Labarre who were professors of Harp at London’s Royal Academy ofMusic and at the Paris Conservatoire respectfully. The Nocturne is his onlypiece for Harp and String Quartet, whilst the two trios are inspired by Mozart’s Piano Trio K542 and Piano Sonata K331. The Grand Sonata is a musical and technical challenge for the Harp with demanding articulation.
