o Two rarely heard and long out of print Newport performances by the celebrated Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond.
o This first recorded in 1956 with Norman Bates, bass and Joe Dodge, drums; the second in 1959 with the more familiar rhythm section of Eugene Wright, bass, and Joe Morello, drums.
o As a bonus, there are two obscure tracks from a radio broadcast taped during a concert in Hanover, during a 1958 ‘goodwill’ international tour organized by the US State Dept.
