Booker, a larger than life character, can be seen in the great line of New Orleans pianist from Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Domino & Professor Longhair to Allen Toussaint and Dr John, the latter two being good friends of Booker - who died in 1983, aged 42, after years of alcohol and drug problems.
