o This 1965 London concert of the Bill Evans Trio was recorded as a single performance to be broadcast as two shows in the BBC ‘Jazz On 625’ television series. The presenter is Humphrey Lyttelton, who gives a warm introduction to Evans and his trio.

o The repertoire is a mixture of Evans originals, American songbook titles and modern material including the Newley-Bricusse “Who Can I turn To ?” and Miles Davis’ beautiful “Nardis” - a tune he himself curiously never recorded.

o Evans had still barely recovered fro the tragic death of bassist Scott LaFaro in 1961, and had waited a year to form a new trio with Chuck Israels on bass and Paul Motian on drums, who by this time had been replaced by Larry Bunker.

o Total Time : 73 mins. approx. Compatible with all DVD players.
