• At 81, self-taught pianist Renato Sellani is the doyen of Italian jazz musicians and over a long career has worked with : Lee Konitz, Chet Baker, Sarah Vaughan, Stephane Grappelli, Phil Woods, Helen Merrill, Tony Scott, Herb Geller, and Buddy Collette.

• ”O Sole Mio” is a collection of Italian standards and is Sellani’s second album for Venus - Japan’s premiere audiophile jazz label. It was recorded in 2007 the day after his first Venus album, “My Foolish Heart”, which featured popular American songbook hits.
