• Guitarist Jon Larsen of the Hot Club de Norvege presents a quirky tribute to original Mothers of Invention drummer, Jimmy Carl Black who died in November 2008. This is Larsen’s sequel to his 2007 CD “Strange News from Mars” (ZEN2001) recorded with Zappa sidemen.

• The first disc takes the form of a "Surrealistic Space Odyssey" with music and text written by Larsen and played by a band which includes Zappa side man Tommy Mars on keyboards. Jimmy, the story's main character, does’nt play but can be heard on the telephone.

• On disc two Jimmy Carl Black relates stories of his life and times-- an intriguing addition to the oral history of rock music, with an insider's view of life in the " Mothers" and a cast of characters that includes Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Captain Beefheart, Janis Joplin et al
