• With his band Signal, Masa Sumide is a celebrated star in Japan, but increasingly he has made an international name for himself as an amazing fingerstyle guitarist, after migrating to Australia from Japan in ’96.

• As a self-taught musician, he has developed an entirely individual style, including various unusual tunings and a phenomenal combination of guitar body percussion and grooving slap techniques. Fans of Leo Kottke will find much to enjoy in his playing.
