• Singer-songwriter Danny O'Keefe is one of America’s national treasures, but sadly far too few people in or outside The States realise this, even though he’s been making great recordings since the early 70s. This album, “Runnin' From The Devil” was originally released in February 2000, and is now reissued.

• It’s a beautiful, engaging, multi-layered album full of O’Keefe’s masterly songs and lyrics, and his haunting, melancholy, soulful voice - backed by top-notch musicians.

• Among the fine songs are "Well Well Well", co-written with Bob Dylan, and "Never Got Off the Ground" which Allison Krauss recently covered on her 2008 “Forget About It” album.

• In the 70s he made four stunningly good albums : "Breezy Stories" (’72), "American Roulette" (’75),"Song Long Harry Truman" (’77) and “The Global Blues” (’79). This album is equally good, as is a new album, “In Time”, recorded in 2008.
