The Stenhammar Quartet is one of Sweden’s most interesting string quartets of today. They perform their contemporary and classical repertoire with warm and energetic musicianship together with striking technical refinement. One aspect of the quartet’s profile is the commissions and original performances it has undertaken with a number of the younger generation of Swedish composers, three of which are featured in this recording – Larsson Gothe, Mĺtensson and Pelo quartets.
