This outstanding double CD, in special gatefold digipak sleeve, presents blues troubadour Eric Bibb performing his best known songs live, in front of an audience at the FIP Radio concert hall, in Paris - in March and December 2008 - with a bonus 20-minute video of on-stage and backstage footage, also featuring Richie Havens.
Eric Bibb is at the top of his game here, and the live recording is immaculate. This set is a milestone in Bibb’s career, showing the full extent of his artistry as he glides gracefully over a repertoire of his strongest material from the past fifteen years.
Bibb has become a household name for blues fans all over the world - a beacon for the next generation of folk-blues lovers, with his subtle playing and creative vision.
Born in New York in 1951, Eric is the son 1960’s folk and musical theatre singer, Leon Bibb. His uncle was the world-renowned jazz pianist, John Lewis, of The Modern Jazz Quartet, and his godfather was singer/actor/activist Paul Robeson.
The first concert presents Eric with his full band (including guitar, bass and drums). For the second performance, he is backed by his regular drummer and Amar Sundy on electric guitar, who also appears in the video footage.
