• This release presents a couple of complete quartet studio sessions by the unique Sonny Criss, accompanied in both cases by outstanding pianists: Barry Harris (with whom these are his only recordings ever) and Hampton Hawes.

• As a bonus, we have added a six-track, single trio session taped by Harris during the same session in which the Criss tracks were recorded plus a bonus track by the trio on the 1975 session, but without Criss.
