• High octane hillbilly group The Wilders have been making a name for themselves in Britain in 2009 with various festival appearances (Celtic Connections, Larmer Tree etc) -- now here is a solo CD from their brilliant fiddler Betse Ellis
• Lovingly played old time music – Betse uses two different 19th-century French violins depending on the tunings and occasionally accompanies herself on a vintage tenor or parlour guitar.
• Folk songs, Ozark fiddle tunes, sacred songs -- all played with great warmth and feeling while in contrast there are two Memphis Minnie numbers. In addition to singing these Betse lets rip with some low down and dirty blues violin
