| Ben Webster came to Europe in 1964 and never returned to USA. He settled down in Denmark visited often Holland where he died in Amsterdam September 20, 1973. He is buried in Denmark. He made a lot of recordings with local musicians but also with visiting American Musicians. On this CD he plays with Teddy Wilson, Dexter Gordon, Sahib Shihab, Kenny Drew and Al Heath + local musicians. All the sessions are from Denmark and Finland where he played at the Pori Jazz Festival with Kenny Drew, NHØP and Al Heath. |
