Variety lab first hit the scene in 2003, with their album ‘Providence’ and a high-profile haunting track from it called ‘(I love)London in the Rain’, which featured on most luxury compilations of the time (including Hôtel Costes), as well as a number of TV adverts and as background music to documentaries; closely linked to the fashion circuit, the track became a recognizable success.

Behind the leadership of Thierry Bellia, a number of participants join the carriage to create in ‘Team up!’, the second album, a rich variety of styles, all sustained with the driving rhythm.

Donovan who agreed participation after months of demo trading with Thierry Bellia. This folk legend came personally to Paris to offer his voice and his story to the spacious and bouncy opening track, ‘Is this the last time’.
