• Singer-songwriter Jens Carelius is from Sandvika just outside of Oslo, and “The Beat Of The Travel” is his 2nd album, released on the newly-founded Viking Records label. His debut album, “The First Songs”, came out in January 2008.

• Carelius has an engaging, understated, folk-inspired sound, with inventive arrangements and memorable melodies. In concert he works with a regular band, and has used a wide selection of musicians on the album.

• He has an appealing vocal style and is a fine lyric writer. There are songs solely accompanied by folk guitar, waltzes with horns and strings, mellow folk and blues guitar, subtle harmonies and up-tempo pop and rock-inspired material. The album is presented as a journey, hence the title.
