• This amazing DVD presents two separate performances by three modern jazz guitar masters: American players Jimmy Raney (1927-1995) and Jim Hall (born in 1930 and age 78 at the time of writing), and the Hungarian Attila Zoller (1927-1998), who is present on both concerts.

• It’s wonderful to actually see such an underrated and rarely filmed figure as Raney perform. Raney suffered from Meniere’s Disease for thirty years, a degenerative condition that eventually led to almost complete deafness in both ears. His playing, however, doesn’t seem affected here.
