• Tim Eriksen is a well-known American musician, folk song collector, musicologist and college professor, who is leader of the ‘old timey meets punk’ band, Cordelia’s Dad (who released nine albums and toured with Nirvana, Weezer & Uncle Tupelo).

• He also was consultant and performer of the award-winning soundtrack to the 2003 Anthony Minghella film “Cold Mountain” - and featured on the ‘The Great High Mountain Tour’, which celebrated the traditional music of ‘Cold Mountain’ and ‘O, Brother Where Art Thou’.

• This live album, recorded in Namest, Czech Republic, in 2008, focuses on Eriksen’s extensive knowledge of the ‘Sacred Harp’ tradition (Christian four-part choral style); the largely forgotten Northern Roots music tradition of New England; and the congregational ‘shape note’ tradition of the US Southern States.
