Following on from their critically acclaimed recording of the Philippe de Monte (Claves CD 502712), the Ensemble Orlando de Fribourg / La Cetra from basal and conductor Laurent Gendre have chosen two of Bach’s four ‘Missa Breve’ masses. Original composition dates are unknown but are believed to be between 1735 and 1744, these rarely recorded works are brought to life on this new Claves disc. A choral delight.
