Felix Nowowiejski was a composer who considered universal values fundamental for all artistic creation. This was in line with the romantic outlook as well as an attitude to life he developed in childhood. In all his activities he combined patriotic and religious feelings, often not distinguishing greatly between the two. Many of his works take a conscious patriotism as the starting point, and an educational and patrotic aspect as their chief objective.
