• All existing quartet recordings by the superb trumpeter Booker Little, including his complete album “Booker Little” (1960) – recorded for the Time label – as well as separate tunes from other recording sessions.

• As a bonus, a version of “Blues de Tambour” on which Little is virtually the only soloist; as well as a live 1958 recording of “Tune Up” in a quartet format with Booker Ervin on tenor sax in place of a piano.

• Another great jazz talent cut short by an untimely death, Booker Little was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1938. Booker played with many of the great Memphis musicians, including Phineas Newborn Jr. and George Coleman. In the mid 50s, he roomed at the YMCA with Sonny Rollins, before they both made their marks.
