• Annwn are a German-based group, playing their own form of mystic folk music - strongly influenced by early and medieval music, adapting compositions and texts from those periods, but adding original pieces of their own. The central musicians are singer Sabine Hornung with her evocative, clear voice and Tobias von Schmude on lute and bouzouki. They are joined by many renowned musicians from the folk, medieval and classical music scenes.

• The music is lyrical, often cross-cultural, sometimes with orchestral arrangements - sweet at times, darker at other - with brilliant musicianship from a wide variety of traditional instruments - combined with some subtle programming and fine production.

• Annwn is ‘paradise’ in celtic mythology : a perfect realm thought of as a green land underneath the surface of earth and sea – a counterpart of the aerial Albion. The CD comes in a beautifully designed gatefold digipak, with 16-page booklet.
