The film tells the story of five men, each portrayed by Robin Williams, who inhabit different periods of time, from pre-history to present day, yet share one common story----the search for their lost families. The unusual series of vignettes explores the idea that people are destined to repeat the same mistakes, fight the same battles and dream the same dreams, no matter where, when or how they live.

The film co-stars John Turturro (Barton Fink).

With the film spanning over one thousand years one can imagine how eclectic the score music must be! British composer Michael Gibbs has served up a wonderful mix of Philip Glass, Prokofiev, Debussy and more in this musical free-for--all. A huge amount of fun!
