What starts out as a carefree vacation for three young men on the beaches of a distant paradise turns deadly serious when one member of the trio finds himself arrested and facing a death sentence. The vacation is long over by the time the other two friends learn of their buddy's plight and have to face the realization that not only are they responsible for his arrest, but that only if one of them confesses and agrees to go willingly to jail will their friend's life be spared.

Vince Vaughn (Lost World: Jurassic Park; Rudy) stars as a New York cabdriver forced to confront how much he values his own freedom and whether it matters more to him than the death of a friend. Joaquin Phoenix (Inventing The Abbots) plays Lewis, whose life is on the line and David Conrad co-stars as a stock-broker with the greatest number of worldly possessions to lose. Anne Heche (Volcano; Six Days, Seven Nights; I Know What You Did Last Summer) stars as the lawyer who brings Lewis' plight to his friends' attention.

The score is composed by Mark Mancina, known for his soundtracks to Twister and Speed.
