It's rare when the soundtrack to a film perfectly captures the atmosphere of the film but THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES soundtrack does exactly this through the use of exclusive new material from critically acclaimed indie rockers LOW and KING AND BLACK ACID and the electronic duo Tom and Andy who together contribute the eerie soundtrack and spine-tingling score to this new thriller, starring Richard Gere and Laura Linney.

Along with the tunes written specifically for the film is a second CD of the score by powerhouse composers TOMANDANDY (Arlington Road, Natural Born Killers, JFK). With the tone of the movie being creepy, beautiful and scary, the songs on the second CD serve their purpose well to enhance the hypnotic and menacing character of the film with dark and hauntingly beautiful echoes which underscore the terror in a captivating and inviting way.

The movie is based on the 1976 book of the same name, in which Washington Post reporter John Klein (Gere) investigates paranormal happenings in the West Virginia town of Point Pleasant that might or might not be connected to his wife's death.
