• This release presents a true rarity, Bill Evans playing piano four hands with his Brazilian pianist friend Luiz Eça in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1979. All tracks previously unissued.

• This is the only known occasion in which Evans was recorded playing in this format, and also his only known collaboration with Eça, with whom he had played several times before (which explains their excellent communication here). This session was recorded live at Chiko’s Bar, Rio de Janeiro, one of Evans’ regular haunts when he was on tour in Brazil.

• Most of the tracks are duets, with the additional accompaniment of Evans’ regular bassist Marc Johnson on some tunes. It is fortunate that this informal evening of music was recorded. Also featured are Brazilian stars Cidinho and Leny Andrade, who sings one song.
