• ‘Buenosaurios’ is a new album by Acho Estol, who was the leader of La Chicana - the highly successful Buenos Aires tango band formed in 1996, who released 5 albums (3 on Galileo).

• With this new group he continues his exploration of the darker, rough edges of tango - the social depravation and the hopelessness, but also the romantic nostalgia - his songs are sketches for a bleak theatre cabaret, with sometimes unexpected, dadaist humour.

• The album title is an ironic allusion to the image of the tango in Argentina today. On the one hand tango embodies the memory of a glittering past golden era - an integral part of the Argentine national sentiment. On the other hand, it reflects a new generation of ‘power-tangueros’ with a more alternative, rebellious outlook.
