• Blues guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and bandleader Dave Weld has certainly paid his dues. He got his start on Chicago's west side in the late ‘70s playing in the 1815 club house band with Chico Chism, Shorty Gilbert, Hubert Sumlin, Detroit Junior and Eddie Shaw.

• He learned a lot from JB Hutto and teamed up with JB’s nephew Li’l Ed with whom he played every joint on the west side for 10 years, finally heading his own band in 1988

• This is Weld’s Delmark debut and it features the legendary Abb Locke on saxophone.
