Mandolin virtuoso and singer, Féloche, is a rising star in his homeland, and on this debut album he presents a unique blend of electro-Cajun, Folk, Blues, Bluegrass, Pop, Rock Steady, French Chanson, Hip Hop - urban Paris meets the steamy heat of the southern US bayous, or 'urban bayou' as he describes his approach.

The great Dr John adds his authentic touch, and there is fiddle, piano and accordion - but Féloche is no traditionalist - his music sounds as much 21st Century as 20th. There are surprises around every corner on this album, with its cauldron of ingredients - there's even a idiosyncratic version of "Singin 'in the Rain" !

The memorable album cover shows a somewhat manic Féloche using his mandolin as a paddle as he moves through the choppy spray of what might be swampy Louisiana waters, if it wasn't for a large tidal wave behind him. He is certainly navigating a musical course that French musicians all too rarely take, given the strong cultural links they have with the Cajun tradition.
