• French musician/producer Hector Zazou was a pioneer of the cross-fertilisation of musical cultures, creating multi-textured hybrids of Eastern, African and Western styles, mixing the ethnic with the electronic. • Before he died in 2008 he came up with the novel idea of recasting hits from the disco era as world music, using percussion, oud and bouzouki.
