• Larkin Poe are a five-piece US band combining elements of Americana, folk, country, and pop - fronted by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell - both excellent singers, song-writers and musicians : Rebecca plays mandolin and guitar; Megan plays dobro, lapsteel and ukulele. The band is named after their great-great-great-grandfather.

• The line-up is completed by Knoxville-based musicians, Daniel Kimbro (bass), Chad Melton (drums), and Mike Seal (electric guitar), ‘Spring’, the band’s debut, comprised of nine original tracks, is already #1 on the European Americana charts - and has been played on a long list of UK radio stations.

• The sisters, including their elder sister Jessica, learned musical instruments from an early age - and in their teenage years all three toured internationally as The Lovell Sisters, from 2005 to 2010, during which time they released three albums, appeared at the Grand Ole Opry and collaborated with Elvis Costello.

• When Jessica decided to leave (for further education & having got engaged), Rebecca & Megan formed Larkin Poe in January 2010. They played their first gigs Larkin Poe gigs on the Cayamo Cruise alongside artists such as Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, and Steve Earle. Immediately following this, they toured Florida and Alabama opening for Brandi Carlile and the Indigo Girls. They have a European tour booked for July 2010.
