• Formed in 1934, The Golden Gate Quartet are probably the best-known gospel group in the world, are one of the most influential, and almost certainly have achieved the longest unbroken career in that genre (or maybe any genre). They were the first gospel act to popularise the genre with a wide audience far beyond racial or religious boundaries.
• The ‘Gates’ have seen members come and go, yet the group’s manager today is tenor Clyde Wright who joined the group in 1954; and Paul Brembly is another mainstay since joining in 1971 at the request of his great-uncle, founder member Orlandus Wilson, and has been the leader of the Gates since the latter’s death. The other group members are Anthony Gordon and Frank Davis.
• On this brand new soulful album, the group prove their musical durability with an album, aptly entitled ‘Incredible’, that proves as cutting edge as anything they’ve done before and demonstrates that their brand of spiritual music remains as relevant today as it’s always been.
• The album contains bonus video material, and comes in a deluxe, digipak, gatefold sleeve, with a 40 page booklet of text and photos. The GGQ are appearing at the London Jazz Festival, 2010, at the Royal Festival Hall.

Reviews ForIncredible
Mojo - Glyn Brown
Gospel band started in the Deep South depression. Current line-ip still sounding pretty fine. ***
Blues & Rhythm - Norman Darwen
anyone who has ever cared about the Golden Gate Quartet, at any time, will find plenty to enjoy.
Juke Blues - Seamus McGarvey
A good album blending old and new.
fRoots - Dave Peabody
The hallmark of The Gates was their intricate vocal arrangements. They were always smooth perfection.
