Alexandre Tansman, a virtuoso pianist and composer of Jewish origin was born in Lodz, Poland, in 1897. He died in Paris in 1986. Recently his music has been rediscovered and this delightful recording of chamber works, which are heavily influenced by his life in France, and will go a long way in creating even more interest in his music.
