• As Eddie Taylor's stepson, Larry grew up at the feet of the Chicago blues elders. Howlin’ Wolf, Jimmy Reed and Elmore James were frequent visitors to the house where they would sample his mother's soul food so it's no surprise to find songs by these three appearing amongst Larry's own numbers.

• The recordings collected here, with Larry Taylor on vocals and drums, were mostly cut in 2004 but there are four tracks from earlier dates. The various band members include some of Chicago's finest including the late Willie Kent on bass and West side guitarists Jonny B.Moore and Willie Davis.

• A CD that takes us on a virtual tour of a genuine house of blues and the legacy that it has bequeathed to one of its direct descendants
