• Busi Ncube comes from Bulawayo -- her early influences were African Gospel, Dorothy Masuka and Miriam Makeba. As a young member of the group Ilanga in the ‘80s she scored a big Zimbabwean hit with a song called True Love

• Now based in Norway she has formed her own group from some of the top musicians operating on the Oslo music scene. On this album, performing mostly original songs, she takes the lead vocals as well as playing the traditional mbira
