• This CD includes all of the tunes recorded on this 1957 session in their original unedited form - including the long forgotten “This is Always”, in its original trio version and adding “Too Close for Comfort”.

• All previous releases of this album (prior to the 2006 Gambit edition) presented abridged versions of some tunes, or omitted tracks, with “This is Always” being the usual casualty.

• As a bonus to this outstanding album, five interesting tunes have been added featuring Hall with pianist and composer John Lewis: and a 1956 trio; a 1957 duet; and three1960 quartet recordings.

• Personnel : Jim Hall, guitar, on all tracks, with : Carl Perkins, piano; Red Mitchell, bass; John Lewis (p); George Duvivier (b); Connie Kay (d); Percy Heath (b).

• Total Time: 79:14 - 16 tracks (including 5 bonus). This album was previously available, as a CD, on the Gambit label (69259).
