| A brand new Radio 4 dramatisation of 'And Then There Were None' by Agatha Christie, adapted by Joy Wilkinson. Ten guests travel to an island at the invitation of someone named U. N. Owen. The guests have two things in common: each of them is an unconvicted murderer and none will leave the island alive. As each guest is picked off one by one, who could possibly be responsible? Over two days and nights, each of the guests is killed off in a different manner in keeping with the nursery rhyme, Ten Little Soldier Boys. The murderers are forced to turn detective so they can find the unknown killer, but one by one they become a victim. When the last surviving ‘soldier boy’, the nanny Vera Claythorne, puts the noose around her own neck to free herself from the unbearable guilt she has finally faced up to, she believes that she has discovered the killer’s identity, but the listeners know she is mistaken.
