• A very rare, previously unissued live performance by the Dexter Gordon Quintet with Woody Shaw, recorded at the Village Gate, in New York, on October 25, 1976.

• This concert precedes the well-known Village Vanguard sets issued as ‘Homecoming’ by about a month and a half. Gordon had just arrived to the United Stated from Europe, where he had been living for many years.

• The set presented here contains the only existing versions of Horace Silver’s “Strollin’” and “You’ve Changed” by this line-up.
