• The Wilders are a US quartet, who blend country, folk, bluegrass, old timey & Americana into their own vibrant style. They’ve been going 15 years, and this is their 10th album - fittingly self-titled, and full of heartfelt, rapid-fire Americana anthems, and irresistible “new-time-old-time” fiddle tracks.

• The Wilders have toured widely in the UK in recent years - playing at Celtic Connections and the Larmer Tree Festival, amongst many others. In 2011, they are touring the UK and Ireland for nearly two months. Their trademark high-energy live performance wins over audiences everywhere.

• On this new album, they have added arrangements that make greater use of electric guitar and bass as well as glockenspiel and piano, giving the band a unique sound. But the key elements of The Wilders remain : the exhilarating fiddle of Betse Ellis, Nate Gawron’s driving bass, and Phil Wade swapping between dobro, mandolin, and banjo.

• The group’s song-writing approach has changed too, with each member penning at least one track, plus usual front-man, singer-guitarist Ike Sheldon, steps aside on a couple of tracks to let his band-mates take over on lead vocals.
