• In the late ‘50s and early ‘60s Steve Benbow was well-known to the general public as a folk singer and entertainer who made regular appearances on TV and radio. On this CD reissue of a 1966 LP he presents 16 songs which have since become an established part of the Irish traditional repertoire

• Steve is in good company – he's backed up by Lonnie Donegan's original guitarist and renowned session man Denny Wright plus the Strawberry Hill Boys, who would eventually morph into the Strawbs
