• Belgian jazz and funk keyboardist/pianist Eric Legnini, sharpened his reputation in New York jazz clubs and draws on inspiration from as far a field as piano maestro Bill Evans, New Orleans funksters, The Meters and jazz-funk icons The Brecker Brothers.

• ‘Vox’ moves between groovin’ funk and heartfelt ballads and features the divine Krystle Warren on vocals.

• The Vox features Legnini’s peerless rhythm section: Frank Agulhon on drums and Thomas Bramerie on double bass, supported by two guitarists, Belgian Daniel Roméo – funk bassist and Legnini’s childhood friend – and from the Congo Kiala Nzavotunga, fellow-devotee of the late Fela and founder of the band Ghetto Blaster, plus an old-style brass section.

• Eric Legnini first made his mark in the mid-1990s as the young, discreet but highly talented pianist of the Stefano Di Battista quartet. In recent years he has appeared in London several times including the London Jazz Festival in 2009 and 2010.
