Stanze (rooms) is a cycle of 16 pieces for harp composed in the course of two–three years, between 1990 and 1992. Originally composed for piano, Einaudi changed instrument when he heard Cecilia Chailly perform some of the works on electric harp and decided to entrust the playing of the whole project to this talented harpist. So, there is no piano, Einaudi’s signature is limited the composition and the artistic production in the recording studio.
