• This is the first ever reissue on LP of Les Chants Magnetiques since its deletion at the low-point of vinyl around 1992. Les Chants Magnetiques was Jean Michel Jarre’s third studio album on Dreyfus Music, following on from the phenomenal success of Oxygene and Equinoxe.
• Pressed on top quality 180g vinyl, and the real bonus is that the material is sourced directly from the original master tapes and digitally re-mastered using up-to-date (2011) techniques, providing the richest possible sound, whilst staying closest to the original sound from the studio those 35 or so years ago. This is true audiophile quality, from an artist for whom quality of sound has been paramount.
• It is possible that we have here the best ever versions of these monumental albums (c.f. Oxygene and Equinoxe on LP too), because at their time of original release, vinyl quality was low, LPs were mass-produced, and interference between grooves was not uncommon.
