His previous albums have been prize-winning, including 5 South African Music Awards in categories such as "Jazz Album Of The Year" and "Producer Of The Year" - and the country's most coveted prize for jazz, the Daimler-Chrysler Award.

• He has acted as musical director for many renowned South African artists like Miriam Makeba and the legendary trumpet player Hugh Masekela and produced such African icons as Oumou Sangare from Mali, the opera/jazz diva Sibongile Khumalo and Busi Mhlongo - as well as a number of musicals and other high profile projects.
