• Urban Tunélls Klezmerband are a Norwegian group, formed in 2000, who breathe new passion and energy into the ‘klezmer’ music tradition - rooted in the folk music of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

• Previously a quartet, they have now added a drummer, so the current line-up is : Tor-Petter Aanes, piano, lead vocal; Morten Michelsen, clarinets, backing vocal; Jovan Pavlovic, accordion, backing vocal; Jo Skaansar, double bass; and Stig Rennestraum, drums.

• This new album, "In der Finster," (‘in the dark’) presents seven new compositions by members of the band, plus two traditional pieces. All played with their customary vigor and virtuosity. There are also some woodwind and string arrangements by Jovan Pavlovic, and two guest string players.
