• 30 year old Amund Maarud is considered one of the best guitarists on the surprisingly extensive Norwegian blues scene, and he has a growing international reputation. He’s also a fine vocalist and songwriter too, and all these talents are on show on this new album ‘Electric’.

• Maarud has a number of album releases behind him : with his own Amund Maarud Band and The Grand, and he’s also formed an energetic blues duo, Morudes, with drummer brother Henrik, who’s also on ‘Electric’.

• This album oozes class : blues licks, rockin’ riffs and stinging solos. He sings hard (in English) and delivers strong songs, all rolled into a thoroughly top production. It’s full of variety and ideas, with thoughtful use of brass and piano, in addition to guitar, bass and drums.
