• The first Gotan Project album ‘La Revancha del Tango’ became an instant classic when first released in 2001, and it fired a renewed interest in Tango. Amongst the emulators were were artists screaming Nueva Cumbia who became the worthy successors of this retro-futuristic alchemy.

• 2011 looks at La Revancha en Cumbia, a bunch of bootleggers who knead the sounds of the dense Argentinian tradition and break them down in their big mix. This rowdy crowd has been spreading havoc around the Buenos Aires nightclubs with its broken rhythms, creating its own version of the tracks from La Revancha del Tango.
